Cookies and cream cheesecake!
Check it out Timmy can cook!
I saw this simple recipe somewhere and thought i would give it a go. Oh and check this, this cake requires no baking!
All it needed was:
-Oreos
-Caster sugar
-Butter
-Creamcheese
-Cream
-Vanilla extracts.
Got the oreos and separated the biscuits from the cream and threw the cream filling out (such a waste i know!), i never liked the cream and figured it would make the cake much too sweet. Crushed the oreos, process with butter and that's the base. Then get everything else beat it all up in one bowl and then add 1/4 of a gelatin solution and pour it over your oreo base and done!
Wait for the gelatin to set in the fridge and it's done! So simple!
I think i did put a bit too much butter in with the base causing it to harden up into a not so crumbly biscuit but it turned out to be a good thing.
Oh cooking is fun!

Ah! What the hell is this!?

Grumble, grumble.
450km's on one full tank. Premium too! Gah!! 60 liters of liquid gold and that's all i can get! Thats 13.5 L per 100kms, I think i rode 100kms at the mont with less water than that!
That's it car shopping starts now, going to get something that is more suited to me. Something that is smaller, handles better, turns better, looks better, parks easier and doesn't chew petrol like its only worth $1 a liter.
Cupcakes on Pitt.
Oh how dreadful this weather has been in Sydney this whole week, nothing but rain. Great for the water catchments though! So on such glum days like this what could of been a better idea than to have gotten a couple of cupcakes brighten the day up.One Blueberry cupcake and a Carrot cupcake please!
Now 2 for $5. hrm.. quite dear for such little things but look at how pretty they are, I almost didn't want to eat them! The Carrot cupcake (on the left), was firm had a delicate swirl of icing on its 'cupcake top' and topped with a nice little walnut (which got gobbled up by someone before i even noticed it was there!). It reminded me of a simple carrot cake actually but bite size and a more earthy taste to it (if that makes sense), i was surprised to actually feel the carrot bits in the muffin... I mean cupcake! It's wasn't a bad thing, if anything it was unique and very nice to have the tiniest crunch of real carrots in it.
The Blueberry cupcake stood a little bit taller than his/her carrot counterpart, which proved a bit puzzling to bite. The cupcake itself was very nice, perfect amount of sweetness and was cook perfect! No unevenness of rising dough here. But the cream was what made me say to myself "Oh, wow." To me it seemed like cream and/or moose but it wasn't icing. It was so soft yet it still held shape despite being out of its fridge for so long.
In the end, it was a very nice treat and did brighten up such a wet gloomy day. Give it a go next time you walk past it, i recommend trying it for when you're bored, peckish, hungry or on a date. =).

B.O.B. feat Bruno Mars - Nothin on you (by request)
Youtube again, found this. Just shows how creative people can be and how talented people can be outside of the mainstream hotshots industry. Check out his lyrics!
Lyrics:
[Verse 1]
I used to just fool around
Just dating random girl after girl
But thats in the past now
Yes thats in the past now
Cause girl youve changed my ways
I used to just to play around
A night with her and then I was out
But girl then I met you
Girl then I met you
Oh girl just know that
[Bridge]
There's so much nonsense
It's on my conscience
I'm thinking baby I should get it out
Don't wanna sound redundant
But I was wondering
If there was something that you wanna know
But never mind that we should let it go
Cause we don't wanna be a TV episode
And all the bad thoughts
Just let them go (go, go, go)
[Hook]
beautiful girls
all over the world
i could be chasing but my time would be wasted
they got nothing on you baby
nothing on you baby
they might say hi
And i might say hey
but you shouldn't worry
About what they say
cos they got nothing on you baby
nothing on you baby
[Verse 2]
I know that he broke your heart
You never shouldve give him your love
But thats in the past now
Thats in the past now
So girl just take my hand
Cause Ill give you all I have
So girl just let me be your man
And girl dont you worry
Girl dont you worry
Ill never let you down

Friday night eats!
So after my horrid attempt at my Transport assignment it is finally submitted! Woo! I hope i pass this damn course.
After that i met up with Nat and funny enough we went on a random food crawl in Parramatta. First up was "Pho Pasture" (sp?), I actually quite like this franchise. I think there is two in Parra one dodgy looking one and one alot nicer looking ( we went there of course) and i believe there is also one in Bankstown too which happens to be in competition of another place called 'Pho Ann' known for the "best" pho in Sydney, which i disagree (Pasture i think is better by far!). It was a shame because they had somehow run out of rice paper rolls, how can a viet pho restaurant run out of rice paper rolls so we just got ourselves a bowl of pho each.
After that was sweets! And i was pleasantly introduced to this chocolate lovers haven called "San Churro" Which like most chocolate havens specialise in ice-creams, fondues, hot chocolates and mixed chocolate platters. One of their signature dishes is the chocolate and churros.
We decided to get the kids chocolate and churros!
It's smaller but we get sprinkles on the side! Apparently you cannot order the adults serving with sprinkles on the side despite how nice it is. The 'churros' is i think a Spanish doughnut, to me it was a slightly savory dough extruded out of a star shaped cut out and deep fried in strips. Then you take the strips and dip it in their signature chocolate which was not too rich and not too sweet, i liked it. And with ours we had sprinkles on the side, oh how fun!
Then after that, still a bit peckish we went to 'City Extra'. Never been there before but it's actually a nice family restaurant a bit overpriced but I wasn't surprised. After looking at the menu which i thought was an old 70's newspaper (pretty cool!) we snacked on the shepherds pie. Wish i took some photos of the food i had but the food didn't look too photogenic. lol!
I saw a Ferrari on Victoria rd. The sound it made was just memorising, stuck in traffic and you cannot ignore the purr this car gave.
Random photo, It's telling three different crazy stories to me at once, it's epic.
"He only wants sex twice a week, Who is to blame?"
This news blog just amused me, it's not the sex part that amused me. It was the comments below, people discussing the relationship and how differently people can view the situation. Some say it's the girls problem some say it's his problem, fix it, don't fix it, live with it, find a new one, find a new toy, get some drugs. Ahh there is always two sides to the story and it's hard to listen to both.
Bwahahah, what a random night. Oh so fun, i like eating now!

Proposal.
So the weirdest thing happened today in the CVEN2301 lecture. Mid way through the class Mario (lecturer) is explaining about stress/strains in relations to Mohr's circle. Part way through it Mario decides to give an opportunity to students to write on the board and see if we have the capabilities to derive simple equations, or so i thought. Strangely enough this girl in the front row shoots her arm up, eager to volunteer. Now this is weird already, no one ever volunteers for this stuff, it gets to the point where Mario starts throwing chalk at people to go down to write on the board.
Anyway as this girl walks up to the board to start the derivations she says "I think it goes along the lines of this"
Anyway as this girl walks up to the board to start the derivations she says "I think it goes along the lines of this"
*heart* JCB + AWD = true love.
She then turns around towards someone in the class and gets out this small heart shaped box and says " ***** from New college will you marry me?".
HOLY SHIT! It was amazing! I was speechless, it was... woah! He said yes, they hugged and then she left. Which makes me think if it was legit or not. Real or not it was still something to remember, the KBT being so silent, so silent till the point you could hear peoples thoughts, one of those thoughts were "What the fuck?" and everyone heard that one.
I hope it was real, it will make me smile for a long time. I mean how many people in this world can say "I was there when he/she proposed!". As awkward as it was sitting there while it happened it is something i will remember.

I have babies!!! and oh shiet!!!
This is my Bristlenose catfish it's about 5 years old (maybe even older), i have 4 up in total 2 male and 2 females. This male one is roughly 10 cm long and i think it's as big as they get. Anyway the most amazing thing happened today while i was just checking out the aquarium i noticed what i thought it was to be a guppy fry at the bottom of the tank and it appeared to be stuck under the driftwood. I said "aww, it's stuck" but then i noticed the colour of its tail was a lot darker than normal and also it wasn't stuck it just wasn't moving from that spot. Now that's odd for a guppy fry, usually if that happens it means they are highly stressed or sick but then i noticed a few more under the driftwood, just sitting there. That's when i realised, omg it's not a guppy its a catfish!
Gahhhhhh! I'm soo happy, in these past years where i have had them i never expected them to breed because i just didn't know how to breed them. But then 5 years later. Bam! They hatch babies! They are so tiny it's so cute. I counted about 4 but i assume there is more that i can't see. I'm suprised they are alive actually, the stupid big ass gournamis i have eat anything that fits in their mouth but they survived! I'm soo happy!
I was consulting to my aquarium buddy on msn to why it happened now and not before. It appears that it is supposed to take this long because it does take a while to reach adulthood but when they reach it they need to find a partner and develop a relationship and then they are partners (not too sure if it's for life though), then they mate and lay eggs. How touching eh? It's not like my guppies how they turn my community tank into a tank of incestuous rape lol. They have relationships and lay eggs, not only that after they hatch it is apparently the male catfish that then protects the babies for a short period of time, sometimes he would even usher them back into the cave to when they are born.
As to the "oh shiet". I just checked on 'my three' to see how I'm going in terms of my cap. It's only what? 3 days in i think? I have blown it already. About $90 over my $150 cap. Bwahahahah! I wonder how diligent i can be in not using my phone for the next 27 days. I still do have 200minutes free to call any 3 user though.. Hahahah shiet. So worth it though.

Clown loaches
I wanted to kill some time today so i dropped by my local aquarium and spotted these guys. No they're not dead, they're cuddling! They're so cute! These clown loaches must have been together for so long they cuddle, that is just awesome. I was almost about to buy them because they were cuddling, i didn't want anyone to go into that shop and separate these guys, it would stress them out so much.
At home i already have two clown loaches and they are doing fine but i also know clown loaches much prefer to be in a school of at lest 5, but when i bought them ages ago i didn't know any better. Then seeing these guys together at the shop really made me consider getting them more friends. I didn't, oh well next time hopefully.
*And kids (again imagine Ted's voice over with this one) don't ever be afraid to take risks. If you see an opportunity take it! You wont regret it. I say this because whatever the outcome good or bad whatever happens makes you a better/stronger person. Lets just say you take a risk and it smacks you in the face.... ten times.... really really hard, so hard you collapse, you then get up soak it in and move on. There is a saying that goes something like "The best teacher in life is experience" so unless you experience things in life, you wont be making the most of it. And hey, you never know you just might meet new and interesting people. I did!

Friday night training.
Being as sick as i am but not wanting to be by myself on a Friday night i thought i would pop down to Sifu's place to hang out while the guys trained. Of course i couldn't help myself but joined in here and there.
I brought my poi to play around with too! Also how cute are the paintings of those monks on the wall! I think when Sifu's relative painted them she based the poses and monks on a collection of these little monk figurines they had.
*Something almost amazing happened today(Saturday). That and it was also the weirdest thing ever, my dad spoke to me about relationships. It amused me so much and the words he spoke to me was almost what i wanted to hear. As stupid as this sounds but today he actually gave me some advice on how i should lead my life without being highly unreasonable.
* Also kids (Imagine the Ted voice over from How I Met Your Mother), a wise friend of mine told me this the other day. Don't ever get a 'friend with benefits' someone always gets hurts, in this case that someone was me.

Yomama Crew
Great choreo! Nice moves and what got to me more was that they aren't afraid to step outside of the rnb' beats and wadded into the 'almost' contemporary area. I suspect that these guys know Lenny from Karma crew/Dance Generation, the last segment with the Mario theme did look very familiar. That an their idea/method of spreading their message across is quite similar too.
Watching this (stuff like this anyway) always gives me ideas on how to choreograph martial art forms and maybe now a poi form. It's just the fact of implementing it and trying it out. I need to speak up now and then huh?

I'm a soy boy!
Oddest thing happened the other day at work. Ever experienced uncontrollable shaking? Yeah, weirdest sensation ever. Also now my right ear is blocked constantly, i feel like i'm deaf in one ear, still coughing like crazy and sometimes it hurts to sneeze. I think my immune system has gone on holidays or something.
Short rambles today, today at uni i saw a special "Ham & Cheese croissant and a cup of coffee" for 6 bucks. Figured why not, i get my caffeine and my feed. Thinking of the croissant i'm getting i forget to tell the guy to get me a soy flat. Hrm... I'm not the type of guy to complain cause i know how annoying it is when customers complain. So i shrugged it off. But here is the thing, It's only recent discovery to myself that I'm lactose intolerant and I F'ing love my milk... Now if i consume excess amounts of dairy, my stomach does not agree with it so i limit myself to one serve of dairy a day this can be one slice of cheese in a sandwich, a slice of cake, chocolate etc. ( i know the quantity of dairy in a slice of cheese and a slice of cake is hugely different but it's my way of counting) And.... when i had that first sip of full cream milk in my coffee for the first time in months, it actually wasn't that great, i think i prefer it with soy more.
Saw this sign, i got excited but couldn't find the place :(
I had a little bit of time to pack some shit in a box, my room is a little less cluttered. I wonder if i will ever open this box up again sometime? Meh, I'm a keeper. I'll save it anyway.

Water change!
Skipped uni today, i can justify my self and say i am sick and coughing so much.so... =P.
While i was at home and how my fingers are still so horrible i took the gamble and decided i should finally clean and change the water in the aquarium.
Before:
After:
Cleaning this tank might sound like hard work.... ok maybe it is, but it's a hobby, sometimes i actually enjoy cleaning it, its the only physical interaction i can get with my fishies, lol. When i say its been a while since i last cleaned it i mean over two months! i generally try to clean it once every fortnight. So yeh, I've been very lazy lately. The most tedious part of cleaning out the tank (other than waiting for the water to siphon out and filling back in) is sorting out all the uprooted plants and planting it back in. I can only do this when I'm doing a water change because then i can actually put my arm in and reach the bottom without going for a swim. So 120 liters of freshwater and new carbon filter. This should last until a fortnight away.On another note my dad gave me this the other night. It's a maroon leather jacket and since it belonged to my dad and his dad, it fits perfect! It's apparently over 30 years old and it's still in perfect condition. If anything it's in great condition, no wears and tears and it has gotten rid of that new crusty/stiff leather feeling long ago. On the tag it is said it is made in Spain, not to sure what that means in terms of value and fashion but I'll keep it. Not to sure if i will ever wear it out though (it does give that look of a gay cowboy).

Buddha's Birthday.... Poi play.
Today i helped out BLIA Sydney with "Buddha's Birthday" celebrations at Darling Harbor. Woke up late, and it took me so long to find my YAD t-shirt. Got there at about 9.30 as opposed the the arranged 8am. *oops* Although feeling as sick as i am ( I can almost taste the sickness in my throat when i cough/sneeze) i still tried to help the best i could. Even if helping meant standing off to the side and doing nothing, i would be there.
Selling the Taiwanese shaved ice seemed a bit fruitless and i honestly found more reward in showing people how to bath the Buddha. Make three prostrations, pour water on his left shoulder, then right and then left again and not his head, palms together and (as much as i cringe saying this) make a wish. I dislike wishful thinking, its not my thing I personally prefer to say to myself 'to pay respects to Buddha' for what he has given shown and provided for us. I also wonder what goes through other peoples minds when they do such religious acts that is almost alien to them. I think, do they feel offended? Do they feel nervous, in fear of offending others? They are just some of the things that would go through my head if i was asked to partake in another religions religious activity. (Just the same as if i was with a heavily Christian friend i would watch what words i use.)They did have a group of lion dances from a troupe based in Cabbra and despite how often i have personally performed in lion dancing i still very much enjoy and get exited watching others performing it. If anything i get even more excited when others perform, i hardly ever get to see lion dancing. This troupe had a minimal acoustics but they made up for it in the numbers of lions they had. As stupid as this sounds i was surprised that there was at lest two pair of lion dances who were girls. Although they could not do any of the stances they still put in a solid effort.
It was quite obvious though that their group (like mine) had a one star attraction. It stood out from the rest of the lions, literally. The gold one was the only one who could pull of jumping onto the head and stand up on shoulders, they even went to balancing on one leg while on the shoulders! Very inspiring! There was also one lion costume that intrigued me alot. Black fur, gold trim but leopard skin fabric. Ohh so very fancy, i want one. What made my day was when someone from our YAD said to me something along the lines of "I saw you at Forrest rd. lion dancing and i think you are alot better" It made me smile and say "Really?" and blush accordingly in a masculine sort of way. It's funny to think that as much of a lion dance enthusiast and performer i am, the first lion dance i blog about is of another group. hrm..
On another note, i made my very first set of decent sock/cone/fabric poi. Made it out of the scrap material i found at Sifu's place. Its even got a handle! It's not great and i don't think it will last long. But it shall suffice till i get better and this was probably the first time in a long time i actually asked my mum to help me with something but yes, she helped me sew the thing up with her industrial sewing machine ( soo fast!). It's pretty much a straight sock with a handle in the end. I plan to get a small sack of rice to act as a weight but believe it or not ( i can hardly believe it myself) we have officially run out of rice in the house, what the? How can a typical dysfunction Chinese family run out of rice? So no weight yet, but it will happen.
As for my poi skills. I only just realised last night as i was trying to teach Glenn, my reverse 3-beat was in fact a 2 beat. I have been doing the reverse in two beats this whole time! and now trying to put in that extra beat in reverse was quite difficult but I'm getting there.
* Just realised my poi in the picture looks like a very crappy, last minute, lame valentines gift. It's not meant to be.

Victor Kim - Hey, Soul Sister.
Yes, another youtube video. I just love youtube full of so many interesting videos, i can waste a whole day on it if i wanted to.
Anyway stumbled upon this and thought i would share this guy's video. He has a great voice and it's a very sweet love song/video. So sweet of him to share it to the world (that or an idiot, lol).
Civeng Social cruise.
Ok, still a bit tipsy. Not too sure if i can type with correct spelling let along grammar. But in the end it was a good night. Not a saussagefest as one would assume for a cruise organised by the engineering society, free beer, free food, DJ on the decks and plenty of familiar faces!
Theme was anything from tv/movie shows. Two guys came as B1 and B2, there was a captain Jack Sparrow, a very solid effort at Buzz lightyear, the red poweranger and alot of other novelty ones. One girl did manage to pop her knee out dancing, which makes me so worried about someone else's knee. She got onto the ambulance and the night went on.
I dressed up as... originally was meant to be a Man in Black, but seeing as so many other guys turned up in black and white suits i decided i could easily pull off "Agent Smith" from the Matrix, all i had to do was say "Hello Mr Anderson" then people would get it.
Did meet so many new people, so many people got hammered and alot got refused entry into Cargo bar and so the after party failed. I figured instead f being stranded in the city for 4 hours I'd just head home.
Not too sure if i remembered my number correctly, but new/familiar faces, so great meeting them. Especially Natalie and her group of friends. I hope Will is ok, oh and for the record i have a stronger tolerance than Will by far! lol.

Cheers to Mr T and Wally for convincing me to go, good night out on a Thursday anyway. lolThe only photo i got of the night.

The Simpsons!
Some comments:
ShyGuy360 @Crater83
yes of course, cause the simpsons HAVEN'T become a product rather than a show and they AREN'T blatantly pandering the the teen audience with a terrible pop hit.
i understand the joke and its unimaginative and just stupid. the new writers' incapability to write an original funny joke is incomprehensible . oh and the simpsons have been a sell out for more than a couple decades, it just used to not matter because it was still good.
Hotrocks666
Are you fucking kidding me?
R.I.P The Simpsons 1989-1999
The comments keep going too.*The comment below is just bullshit though.

No hander!
I just thought this looks cool.
So today i nailed my no hander cartwheels now. woo! Now bring on wushu and my poi. Although the pictures (video cut out actually) were taken at the end of the session and i did end up getting quite tired, and so it did take me two attempts to get the no hander. Now time to try on something that isn't on the gymnastics floor. My butterfly twist is not as good as a few weeks ago, i guess just as John said to be a really good gymnast you need to train everyday or else you just lose it.

Acoustic, Fireflies-Owl City
Alot of people hate this song, alot of people love it. I quite like it and this acoustic version rocks!
I know its bad to do this (or think it) But i should download all the songs i stumble upon so i can have them at a playlist away.
Gee Gee, Girls Generation
Posted this up because it's just so funny that so many people know about this song! It's something quite well known by the non-asian community for some strange reason. Some people can actually remember the words/sounds/moves despite they don't understand a word of Korean. Could it be the dozen skanky Korean girls wearing short shorts too short to be short shorts? I actually think all the girls look the same except for the hair, even then a few of them have the same hairstyle.
Muay Thai, Peter A Do
This guy i met a few months back at Camparadise just recently came back from Thailand training muay thai, and this was his first professional fight. Shame he turned his back at the very end which lead to a technical knock out. I think he had a fair fight, good cherry popper fight though! Good effort Peter!
