My attempt.

This photo was taken quite a long time ago, December 2006 to be accurate. It was just when my sister bought her first slr, it's a Pentax k100D.

The camera itself is quite a low budget one, very weak in low lighting and it just struggles to capture moving objects with any sharpness at all. Added to the fact that back then and even now i don't know how to fully utilise or even use an slr. This is as good as my photos can get i guess.

I quite like it and i don't know why, just something random. It means nothing to me but i guess i just find it aesthetically pleasing. So when i stumbled upon this photo while going through old files i thought maybe i can fix it up a bit. It may be an ok shot but i can't stand how noisy it is and thought i could try photoshop it.
This is what i ended up with. I actually have no clue on how to use photoshop cs3, i think i ruined it because i actually prefer the original photo. I only wanted to make the image look a little bit sharper and not so noisy but i think i went in the total opposite direction.

What do you think?

New old camera!

This is so fucking cool! It's an Olympus 32 RC, it also has a flash that was with it too! Dad said this thing was from before i was born, he said he lost it.

But I found it this morning! Bought a roll of film for it and just been snapping. The funky thin about film though is i have no idea what the hell these pictures will look like. So if the lens is shot i don't know till the end. Also i have no idea is the photo's i take are of any quality either.

I've been reading this guy who reviews stuff like this and it seems pretty decent from his review. Also It's got a description of what all the dials represent too. It's got an automatic/default setting and alot of manual settings too. I can control the aperture, shutter speed and all these other gizmos i don't understand quite yet. It's also got a self timer! hehe.

So to test out the camera i brought it out with me to Coogee beach, I hung out with Bel today and took a few photos. Again i have no idea how my photos look until i finish the roll and develop them. Such a rad day today.

To me, life is just one big adventure. No matter how hard you may crash, you get up and learn from it, most importantly have the best fun while you're at it.

So after the weekend at Canberra I did decide having the bike in the back isn't too bad but i dislike how it gets my car filthy inside.

After scavenging around the house i did find the roof racks that was meant for the Camry, It was never fitted because when my dad got it i think he just didn't know how to put them on so i think he just gave up. I tried to put them on the sp23 but the racks are too wide and are the gutterless type but i could of tinkered with it to make it fit.

But then i figured why butcher it why someone else can benefit from it. And also i could use the money to get a set of racks that fit on the go!

Photos.

I hope these pictures don't offend anyone. To me it's art/photography. In a way it's one of my secret passions, I really do enjoy looking at great photos. I only wish i could take equally good photos.

I was talking to someone just recently on facebook too, and I'm not too sure if i have mentioned this but she has given me ideas on getting out my dads old film slr, repair it (if its damaged) and just start taking photos. I really do enjoy photography and (i think) it would be heaps of fun if i gave it a go too! The only problem is, I know its a long and lengthy process and super expensive too!

I could keep linking photos on this blog for a long time. Photos of food, cars, landscape or bikes but today I'll just link these.
